# Run your first task

> Create a task on the board and watch the agent work on your paired machine.

With a paired workspace, a ready agent, and (optionally) GitHub connected, you can run a task end to end.

## Checklist

Confirm:

* Daemon online
* At least one agent `ready`
* Workspace visible in the app

## Create a task

In the mobile app:

1. Open the kanban board.
2. Create a new task with a clear title and description, **or** sync one from GitHub / Jira / Slack.
3. Assign it to your paired workspace / agent if prompted.

From GitHub: label an issue `gpr:agent`, assign it to yourself, and let sync pick it up.

## What happens next

1. The queue **claims** the task.
2. The daemon creates a durable ACP **session** and a git **worktree**.
3. The pipeline runs: plan → implement → verify → open PR.
4. The task parks in **In review** when a PR is open, then **Done** when the PR merges.

If planning needs answers, the task moves to **Needs your input**. Reply on the task to continue.

## Watch it live

* Board lane shows status (`In progress`, `In review`, …).
* Task detail shows phase / activity.
* Linked agent session streams ACP output over the relay.
* On the machine: `gpr logs -f`

## When you are done

Review the diff in the app, merge the PR (with GitHub connected), or leave feedback for a rerun.
